Logging In

If this is your first time using Knowledge since Winter (Term 2) 2007, enter your login id using this format:

Username: firstname.lastname (example: robert.smith)
Password: 7-digit student id number

NOTE: firstname and lastname are all lowercase and separated by a period.

Your name is formatted exactly as it appears in student weblink accounts. Contact the Registrar's Office to correct spelling errors.

Faculty who have not used Knowledge since T207 should use their passwords as they were configured at the beginning of the 2007 Fall semester.

If you cannot login, call IDS at (313) 578-0580 (Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm).

Course Site Enrollment

The Instructional Design Studio has begun loading account and course assignments for Term 2. This information is loaded in batches according to the following schedule:

12/4 - 12/20: Updates Tuesdays and Thursdays
1/4 - 1/18: Updates Weekdays

Supplementary batches will be run on or about the first and fifteenth of every month throughout the term.
NOTE: By default, course sites are unavailable when created. Course sites will be made available by faculty when they are ready to be accessed. Until a course site is made available, it will not appear on a student's My Courses list.
Course site enrollment is based on student and faculty information on file at the Registrar's Office. If you have any questions, please contact the Instructional Design Studio (ids@udmercy.edu).

You may contact the Instructional Design Studio with questions about using Knowledge by calling (313) 578-0580 from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
The Instructional Design Studio also resolves issues reported through the IDSHelpdesk at http://research.udmercy.edu/idshelpdesk/. Once you log in, you can access the IDSHelpdesk within Knowledge via the click here for support link on the left side of the blue space at the top of your screen.

To help keep the system stable, a regular maintenance window has been established from 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM Mondays. During this time, Blackboard will not be available.
